Education

Our education efforts encourage excellence in Northwest Georgia’s students through events such as our High School Oratory and STEM Business Case Competitions and through High School to High Heels, our signature mentorship program. We advocate on behalf of women of color through national and local actions and strategic alliances that promote its national and international agendas on leadership development and gender equity in health, education, and economic development.

Health

Through public workshops like our Teen Health Summit and Uncork the Truth-HIV/AIDS Event, our NCBW chapter is committed to improving the health of the Northwest Georgia communities we serve. Our programs offer free HIV Testing, prevention education, and discussions about living with HIV, encourage exercise with fun social opportunities such as Zumba, Yoga, and other fitness activities, and promote exposure to other tools for wellness.

Economic Empowerment

We believe Economic Empowerment is key to women taking charge of their lives and advocating for themselves. That is why in addition to encouragement we offer financial literacy, entrepreneurial, and personal development workshops including past partnerships with Every Woman Works, and more recent programs like the Community Empowerment Summit and the Sister-nomic$ event.

Civic Engagement

We believe that immersion in society is a key aspect of women's journey through advocacy. Our programs like the Voter Education Forum and Legislative Day allow women to get involved and become educated on important information from discussing the significance of voting to meeting with legislators to support women and girls for issues concerning education, health care, economic empowerment and human trafficking. Events such as the Human Trafficking Forum aim to inform women of the criminal enterprise that we can fight together.

Strategic Alliances

We believe in the power of partnerships to inspire communities and fuel positive change. Our organization creates strategic alliances with government, corporate, non-profit and faith-based international organizations to create greater impact around the programs and events we support.
